Job Description

Salary range: $80-130K base per year

Location: Casebook is a remote-only company, and you are welcome to work from anywhere in the continental United States! Must live in the US. 

The person in this role is responsible for telling the story of our software products to the market, understanding our value proposition and turning information about new features and improvements into compelling narratives and messages for customers, prospects, and internal teams (Customer Experience, Revenue, Product, Corporate, investors, and board). 

The person will also add capabilities for Casebook internal administrators so they may support the customer subscription lifecycle. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Work with product managers to define goals and metrics for feature and improvement launches.
  • Partner internally and externally to conduct the customer research and competitive analyses.
  • Work with product managers to refine product positioning based on customer research and product vision
  • Manage and lead go-to market messaging for new product features and improvements, interfacing with product managers, marketing, and customer experience team to define and design appropriate materials and distribution at launch time.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of consumer needs, key category trends, and competitive landscape to influence product roadmap recommendations & decisions
  • Work closely with product managers and designers in the early stages of development to shape the direction of the overall platform and the individual features and functionality
  • Manage the development of product positioning, naming, and messaging strategy
  • Work cross-teams to develop experiences and use-cases within the platform that solve known consumer needs.
  • Write briefs and review creative assets to make sure your positioning and messaging strategy comes to life consistently in the real world.
  • In partnership with the customer experience team, develop product release notes, training materials (written, visual, and video), and webinars materials to evangelize use of new features and improvements.
  • In partnership with the marketing team, develop use cases, whitepapers, and other materials to tell the story of our features and improvements externally and internally. 
  • Refine product messaging across all stages of the customer journey.
  • Manage and execute product launches and announcements.
  • Help with messaging to drive awareness of the product in the market.
  • Act as a product resource for customers and teammates.
  • Work with the customer experience team to uncover opportunities to improve product adoption.
  • Conduct market analysis to define how features and improvements stack up against the competition and fit into the overall human services landscape. 
  • Develop a deep knowledge of our customers to help inform product messaging and feature prioritization.
  • Maintain regular competitive analysis documentation for internal and external usage.
  • Develop a comprehensive business case for new applications, integrations, features and functionality to advance customers business needs and to give Casebook marketplace advantages. 
  • Interface with the marketing team to ensure messages and narratives are delivered to the appropriate parties and in line with corporate branding standards.

Qualifications

What You’ve Got:

  • Exceptional story-telling skills, with the ability to convey how complex features or product improvement help customers and prospects achieve their goals, making their lives better.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, allowing them to go beyond bullet-points and technical specification to get to the emotional components of the product that improve customers and prospects lives.
  • Deep interpersonal and empathy skills, allowing them to connect with internal and external stakeholders, listen to their input, balance feedback, and synthesize communication into a cohesive whole.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills to help product managers develop and monitor appropriate targets relating to how the product quantitatively improves customers’ intended goals.
  • Experience in human-services, non-profit, or government technology, to more easily connect to our existing stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of time
