Job Description
About the Role
This role is all about driving growth for Carousell in Singapore and Malaysia. You'll be at the forefront of marketing efforts, focusing on attracting more buyers and sellers, and increasing transactions across all Goods categories including Toys & Games Collectibles and Luxury Goods. You'll also explore new social media platforms, like Xiaohongshu, to connect with new user groups and build our brand presence.
You'll be responsible for bringing creative marketing campaigns to life, from initial concept to final execution. This involves planning and managing campaigns across various in-app or media channels, events, and partnerships, all while keeping a close eye on local market nuances and trends.
What You Will Do
Own the local marketing calendar to achieve country-specific business objectives.
Develop a deep understanding of the Singapore and Malaysia markets and focus categories, tailoring campaigns with local user insights, language, and channel preferences.
Design and implement marketing campaigns, including messaging and media plans, based on country needs, trending topics, and user behaviours. Take ownership of marketing performance for your markets, reporting on business impact
Run experiments to validate hypotheses and improve our value proposition and user experience.
Manage new social media channels by planning content, producing posts, and engaging with consumers to build positive brand perception and adoption.
Experiment with AI tools to help generate campaign ideas and adapt content for different audiences.
Qualifications
What You Will Need
Operate with a high degree of initiative, being creative and resourceful even with constraints.
Able to manage ambiguity. Be hands-on, capable of taking ideas from concept to execution swiftly.
Quickly identify successful campaign elements and iterate on next steps.
Possess strong empathy for consumers and a good intuition for content that resonates.
Think and work in an AI-native way, using artificial intelligence to accelerate your output and testing processes.
Have experience managing social media content, including basic video and image editing skills.
An active social media presence on platforms like Xiaohongshu is a plus.
