Job Description

About the role 

We are looking for a HR and Admin Specialist for our Hong Kong and Taiwan Offices. This role is based in Hong Kong, with occasional travel to the Taiwan office as needed. In this role, you will oversee all local HR, HR admin and Office admin matters at the Hong Kong and Taiwan Offices. You will also partner with our Business Leaders across Commercial team to deliver excellent employee experience, and develop and execute the organizational agenda and people plans with the ultimate goal to achieve business results and employee experiences. You will also identify and develop people programs that align to our business priorities. This role will report to the Head of Business Partner.

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and drive people strategy which includes performance management, employee engagement, retention, and people operations

  • Provide guidance and coaching to business leaders with regards to team engagement, performance management, and any other people related matters.

  • Deliver excellent employee experience through seamless and efficient management of each step of the employee life cycle, from onboarding to career transitions

  • Provide insights for critical HR projects, support business case scenarios to drive the betterment of employee experience and HR service delivery.

  • Partner with the payroll team to ensure all payroll activities comply with statutory regulations and requirements.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Rewards and Talent Acquisition, on HR projects, to enhance team synergy and expertise.

  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of regional legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees and serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to people matters

  • Manage group insurance renewals, including group medical and office insurance matters

  • Organize team engagement activities to foster a positive and collaborative workplace culture 

  • Manage all office administration activities such as leasing, office inventory and space management.

  • Collaborate with Corporate IT to oversee office IT facilities, ensuring optimal functionality and support.

  • Occasionally travel to the Taiwan office to support HR initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals

 

Qualifications

  • 4~5 years of experience in a HR Generalist role, office management experience is a must. 

  • Experience in a Tech industry is preferred

  • Degree in HR, Business Administration or Management preferred

  • Well versed with Hong Kong employment ordinance and related legislation, knowledge in Taiwan Labor Standards Act is an advantage

  • Experience and solid understanding in working in a diverse and global organisation, leveraging on existing resources in delivering services

  • Highly adaptable, resourceful & creative

  • Able to organise and prioritise work effectively with minimal guidance

  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, both oral and written

  • A cheerful, positive, empathic and curious personality
