Job Description
About the Role
We are excited to offer an internship opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our team! This internship will provide hands-on experience in finance and accounting, giving you the chance to work closely with experienced professionals and develop essential skills in financial operations. During the 6-month internship, you will:
Learn to manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, reconciliation, and financial record-keeping.
Gain practical experience in financial transaction verification, classification, and recording.
Develop your skills in handling expense accounts, cost centers, and compliance requirements.
Assist in preparing financial reports and supporting month-end closing activities.
Build a strong foundation in finance operations, cash flow optimization, and vendor relationship management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand finance's role in the broader business and gain insight into effective financial management.
This internship offers a valuable learning experience within a dynamic and supportive environment, helping you to build a foundation for a career in finance and accounting.

Job Responsibilities:
Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
Generate reports detailing accounts payables status
Understand expense accounts and cost centers
Understands compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)
Various administrative tasks, including mailings, typing correspondence, report preparation, scanning, etc.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master's degree program, best if it’s Finance, Accounting or Banking, Economics, Commerce or Equivalent.
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin
Proficiency in MS Office
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Able to work at least 3 days a week at our Taipei office, full-time availability is preferred
