Associate Center Medical Director Physician

Work-Life Balance | No Nights, Weekends, or Holidays Except for Minimal, Phone-Based On-Call

• Locations: Sacramento, CA  (Relocation assistance available) 
• Compensation: $371,000 - $415,000 negotiable
• Annual Bonus: Eligible for annual bonus of up to 12% of your base salary, based on company performance.
• PLUS Sign on BONUS/ Relocation assistance
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM 
• Light patient panel: 3-5 patients per day

REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited medical school.
• Management, supervisory, or leadership experience.
• Experience working with frail or elderly populations.

Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation

• Unrestricted state medical license
• DEA registration with full prescriptive authority
• Board certification
• Not listed on the CMS Preclusion List

Associate Center Medical Director  Position Summary

• 60% Clinical Duties: Work with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update participant care plans.Evaluate, diagnose, and treat participants; order and interpret tests, prescribe treatment, and coordinate care with specialists and hospitals.Document care in the medical record according to applicable policies.Admit and manage participants in contracted nursing facilities and fulfill required medical staff duties.
• 40% Administrative & Supervision:Lead and supervise the primary care team, including hiring, training, work assignments, performance reviews, and employee concerns.Coordinate regular primary care meetings and support a collaborative team culture.Support the SCMD or CMD with quality initiatives, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and medical programs.Help manage hospital and emergency department use, specialist referrals, pharmacy use, and short stays in nursing facilities.Oversee the after-hours coverage schedule to ensure a physician is available at all times.Carry out supervisory duties in accordance with organizational policies and applicable employment laws

Occasional Travel Requirements

• Travel may be required to participant and potential participant homes and/or other off-site locations
• Overnight travel out of state may be required on occasion
