Med/Surg
5N is a 32-bed Med/Surg unit that includes post op care following general surgery, urology, orthopedics, gynecology, ENT, oral surgery, plastics, and occasionally medical and neurosurgical overflow. 5N is also a dedicated Observation Unit with medical and surgical diagnoses.
Ratio 5-6:1 Days and 6:1 nights
REQUIREMENTS for Registered Nurse - Med/Surg
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- 2 years experience required.
- BLS
- ACLS during orientation
- PALS during orientation
Essential Functions:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process within an assigned unit; assesses, treats and care for patients demonstrating an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturation process; coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Oversees the work of other professional and non-professional personnel. Other duties as assigned.
