Job Description

The MEAL Assistant role entails:

Program Implementation

  • Develop and submit an Individual Operating Plan aligned with the project’s overall goals.
  • Support community mobilization and participant registration.
  • Validate and verify participant eligibility and maintain accurate digital records.

Monitoring, Learning and Reporting

  • Assist in establishing help desks and monitoring accountability issues.
  • Collect and consolidate data from post-distribution surveys and other field activities.
  • Provide technical support on MEAL systems to project staff and stakeholders.
  • Compile and submit district-level statistical reports.

Qualifications

Applicants should have

A bachelor’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Data Analytics, Development Studies, or a related field.

Experience:
3–5 years of practical experience in MEAL, preferably within development or resilience-building projects.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of Climate-Smart Agriculture and integrated farming systems.
  • Experience in training, community mobilization, and participatory approaches.
  • Proficiency in data collection, validation, and analysis using various tools.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and local languages.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
