Job Description
About the Role
As a Project Intern, you will support the rehabilitation of school infrastructure by assisting with site monitoring, documentation, and administrative tasks. You’ll work closely with experienced professionals including the Project Engineer and District Manager, gaining valuable insights into project implementation in rural settings.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Conduct daily site visits and maintain a visual project diary
- Record work activities, worker attendance, and material deliveries
- Prepare weekly progress reports with photos
- Support communication between contractors and the CARE team
- Assist with administrative tasks including filing, meeting notes, and updating project trackers
Qualifications
- A Diploma or Certificate in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field
- At least 2 years’ experience in construction project monitoring or supervision
- Strong attention to detail, good communication skills (English & Shona), and basic computer literacy
- A proactive, reliable, and adaptable individual who thrives in outdoor and rural environments
