Job Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for facilitating community and stakeholder participation in implementing project activities.

 Key duties and Responsibilities

·Confers on district level project activities with the Social Behavior Change Communication and MEAL Specialists.

·Develops a weekly plan in line with scheduled project activities at community level.

·Prepares Individual Operating Plan (IOP) in line with project Annual Operating Plan (AOP).

·Prepares resource requests for field activities and submits to the SBCC Specialist.

·Facilitates collaboration with stakeholders such as Government extension workers, traditional leaders and prepares weekly Community Engagement Plan (CEP) for key community stakeholders.

·Conducts community mobilization, sensitization and facilitates community radio programs.

·Facilitates and documents mass communication campaigns.

·Participates in data collection, administers questionnaires and collects statistics relevant to the project.

·Conducts verification, follow-ups and process monitoring.

·Conducts community capacity building, such as training of committees and government extension workers.

·Prepares and submits progress reports to the SBCC Specialist such as activity, monthly, training, PARS, fuel reconciliations and incident reports.

·Coordinates community participation, community level meetings and stakeholder relations at community and district level.

·Receives feedback from the community on the project activitie

Qualifications

.Degree in Public Health/Development Studies/ Monitoring and Evaluation/ Communication/ Social Sciences or equivalent

·2 years working experience in Water and Sanitation programmes in emergency programming.

.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

.Valid class 3 motorbike riding license
