CarboCode’s technology platform is characterized by the use of synthetic approaches within organic chemistry, biocatalysis, fermentation and separation/purification methodologies. Site directed enzyme engineering and molecular biology are also supporting activities of the principal synthetic efforts. Carbohydrate and lipid chemistries play a crucial role in discovery, optimization, scale-up activities, technology transfer and future production.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Developing and optimizing chemical technologies
• Supporting chemical technology scale-up activities for industrial applications
• Supporting specification settings and analytical controls of technology steps

• Degree in organic chemistry
• Fluent in English
• Experienced in chemical optimization and scale-up activities in both research lab and kg-lab environments
• Preferably, experienced in synthetic carbohydrate/lipid chemistries
• Preferably, experienced in basic chemical technology developments
• Preferably with industrial experience (capability of overviewing scalable technologies)

The Location: The work will be performed at CarboCode’s site in Konstanz, Germany
