CarboCode is an innovation focused R&D company dedicated for the technology development, production and commercialization of glycosphingolipids and their precursors/intermediates in pharmaceutical, nutrition, dietary supplement, cosmetic and intermediate industries.

CarboCode’s technology platform is characterized by the use of synthetic approaches within organic chemistry, biocatalysis, fermentation and separation/purification methodologies. Site directed enzyme engineering and molecular biology are also supporting activities of the principal synthetic efforts. Carbohydrate and lipid chemistries play a crucial role in discovery, optimization, scale-up activities, technology transfer and future production.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Identification of new synthetic approaches for the preparation of targeted molecules
• Integration chemical approaches into other biotechnology-based methodologies
• Developing and optimizing chemical technologies
• Supporting chemical technology scale up activities for industrial applications

• PhD Degree in organic chemistry
• Fluency in English
• Inventive and highly innovative in organic chemistry
• Preferably, experienced in synthetic carbohydrate chemistry
• Preferably, experienced in analytical sciences and structure elucidation
• Preferably, experienced in high level problem solving, scientific database use and idea creation
• Preferably, experienced in basic technology developments
• Preferably, experienced in intellectual property protection
