CarLabs specializes in building conversational experiences in the automotive vertical. We're building out a platform for Messenger bots, Alexa skills, Google Assistant/Home, and web-widgets. Our goal is to change the way people find and learn about the best car for them. We want to allow our clients to create unique and creative experiences with responses backed by automotive data.

You will work directly with the CEO & CTO to:

• Use modern tools to build a fast, reliable pipeline for data ingestion and machine learning model building and deployment

• Build a company wide data science vision and successfully execute that vision

• Evaluate and introduce modern data technologies for streaming, queueing, processing, and storing data

• Establish practices and tools to ensure data integrity, cleanup, and validation across all data sources in the data pipeline

• Understand the business and participate in top-level strategy discussions with the executive team

• Develop a data science team and lead projects from definition to execution, affecting all areas of the company

You:

• Have 3+ years of experience building data pipelines and working with machine learning

• Are hands-on, proactive, see your role as more than just a job

• Understand object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, design patterns, systems engineering, distributed systems, scalability, databases, code optimization, unit testing, debugging, continuous delivery, and version control

• Have deep experience with SQL, Python or R, and some of: Airflow, Spark, Hive, Hadoop, Storm, Kafka, Cassandra, Flink, Pig, Parquet, (Active|Rocket|Rabbit)MQ

• Have experience with some of: MXNet, Keras, TensorFlow, Torch, Theano, Scikit-learn, Caffe, Gensim
