CarLabs is the premiere chatbot/conversational marketing platform builder for automotive. We license and customize a proprietary B2B chatbot platform that offers car buyers a dramatically simplified shopping experience and significantly improves the advertising/marketing ROI for car sellers.

As an engineer, what this means is: we use cool tech to build interesting products. We have, in production: Docker, Elixir, Node.js, React, Facebook OSS machine learning libraries, Python, and PHP7. There is a serious data pipeline, using Apache Airflow, supporting this. We’re a small team powering a lot of functionality, and that means we have to leverage the right tools. To do this, we have to learn. A lot. We pair program frequently. We have Lunch and Learns. We go to conferences (with company support). Most importantly, we share information frequently (on Slack, or on the whiteboard).

We're always happy to meet Los Angeles-based, polyglot developers who are looking to grow with us. We don't have an immediate need, but if you have significant experience with and/or maintain or contribute to open-source libraries written in/for: Elixir, Node.js, React, FastText, PHP7, Airflow, Python, then you should get in touch!

• Experience building scalable web applications
• Excitement and motivation to learn new skills and technologies
• 3+ years experience OR really awesome OSS work.
• Production experience with at least 2 of the following: Elixir, Node.js, NLP, PHP7, Airflow, Python, PHP7, training and running machine learning models
• Production experience with React (preferred) or Elm/Vue/Angular2+
• Ops experience is a plus
