Job Description

Responsibilities:
•    Troubleshoot installed vehicle radios based on customer stated performance issues
•    Diagnose problems associated with remote controls and fixed base stations
•    Work with different types of radio control devices, including local, DC, E&M and tone
•    Keep track of assigned inventory items, such as hardware, wire, and connectors, and communicate replenishment needs
•    Work professionally and productively unsupervised individually or as part of a team
•    Think on your feet to come up with innovative solutions for complex or hard to fix problems
•    Attention to detail on Project documentation and internal/customer paperwork


Qualifications

Requirements:
•    Read and interpret basic schematics in Installation and Maintenance Manuals
•    Use and interpret basic meters, including multimeters
•    Experience working with RF based electronic circuits
•    Ability to disassemble and diagnose mobile radio problems down to the board level
•    Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot antenna issues on base stations or mobile radios
•    Ability to stand and walk for entire shift, 8+ hours
•    Ability to reach, bend and stoop frequently
•    Possess basic hand tools and know how to use them
•    Possess basic computer skills for radio programming as needed
•    Must have a valid unrestricted driver's license and safe driving history as determined by the Company.  Driving record will be checked.
