BMI Healthcare’s Clementine Churchill Hospital in London has a vacancy for an ITU Manager  to join their team of staff within the ITU Department.

This post is for 37.5 hours per week.

Duties of this role include:

• To co-ordinate and manage the provision of Intensive Therapy Unit services in London Independent Hospital
• To provide management support to the hospital’s Pathology Coordinators
• To ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory and best practice frameworks
• To liaise with the regional reps, steering groups (and commercial  managers) as appropriate
• To take an active role in supporting the local implementation of national developments
• To provide feedback and information when requested on various national initiatives.

It is essential that applicants have the following:

• Registered Nurse Adult
• Post registration qualification in ITU nursing
• Strong post-registration experience within an Intensive Therapy Unit
• Experience working as a Sister / Team Lead within an Intensive Therapy Unit
• Knowledge and understanding of Nursing & Midwifery Council’s ‘The Code – Professional Standards of Practice and Behaviour for Nurses and Midwives’
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to hospital and department
• Able to demonstrate good organisational and planning skills, including risk management
• Able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and team leadership experience/strategy
• Financial awareness and knowledge of appropriate measures to control costs
• IT skills
