Job Description
CapTech is seeking a Cloud/SaaS Applications Engineer with 3+ years of experience. In this role, the Cloud/SaaS Applications Engineer implements and supports SaaS and on-premises applications at CapTech and is responsible for resolving support requests in accordance with established SLAs. CapTech engineers operate in a fast-paced environment, providing services via video calls, chat, and email. The engineer configures and supports a variety of systems used by CapTech employees, with a strong focus on automation and process streamlining. The engineer also evaluates and implements AI tools to improve personal productivity and support the work of other employees. The engineer is expected to expand their skill set to support the enterprise as needed and may occasionally implement changes outside standard business hours.
Qualifications
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide a high standard of customer service, ensuring employees are supported efficiently and professionally
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization
- Configure SaaS and on-premises applications to meet employee and business needs
- Implement and provide ongoing support for SaaS and on-premises applications
- Automate operational tasks such as user provisioning, role assignments, and license audits
- Develop and implement change controls aligned with the ITIL change management framework
- Provision access to services in accordance with the principle of least privilege
- Evaluate and recommend tools that improve efficiency and deliver value to CapTech
- Investigate questions and issues using available information resources
- Develop an understanding of the business functions supported by each application
- Identify and escalate situations that require urgent attention
- Track, triage, and route problems and requests to the appropriate teams
- Document issue resolutions and author knowledge base articles as needed
- Analyze complex information to identify risks, trends, and actionable insights that inform decision making
- Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to business, IT, and security workflows
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience supporting cloud-based applications in an office environment
- Customer service-oriented mindset
- Demonstrated ability to serve as a subject matter expert in supporting, maintaining, and administering complex applications
- Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills
- Extensive experience administrating the Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Entra, Intune, and Copilot
- Ability to write and interpret PowerShell scripts is required
- Comfortable working from the command line interface (CLI) on macOS and Windows
- Strong understanding of Single Sign-On configuration utilizing SAML and OIDC
- Experience administering and using cloud services across Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Platform
- Experience administering GitHub and using it for source control, collaboration, and automation workflows
- Experience administering and using Jira, Confluence, and other Atlassian tools to support project delivery and documentation.
- Experience administering and working with Snowflake for data analysis and platform operations
- Experience administering and using Databricks for data processing, analytics, and collaboration
