CapTech is looking for Data Analytics Consultants that are passionate about technology with a desire to solve our clients’ most complex business and technical problems. As a CapTech Data Analytics Consultant, you will enjoy working within a collaborative, team environment to help define and deliver innovative solutions to our clients.  

 Specific job responsibilities will vary by project role, but may include:

• Work with clients to understand their business, data, and systems
• Elicit and produce data requirements based on research and client interaction
• Design, develop, and produce statistical and other analytic reports
• Communicate with all levels of stakeholders as appropriate, including executives, data modelers, application developers, business users, and customers

Specific qualifications for the Data Analytics Consultant position include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
• Strong knowledge of SQL and other querying languages (Hive, Pig etc.)
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (Excel, R, SAS, etc.) preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with data models, database design development, data profiling, and analysis tools, especially in a big data format
• 3+ years experience with the full Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) or Agile, specifically requirements definition and testing preferred
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL server, Teradata etc.) and NoSQL databases (HBase, MongoDB, Apache Cassandra etc.)
