Job Description

Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.

Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!

Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.

Where and how you can work

Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. But you have choice in where and how you work, we trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

The mission of Product Managers at Canva is to create the most accessible design tool for every person in the world. We believe that we can improve the world by empowering everyone to design and communicate visually. As a Product Manager at Canva you help set this vision, define what that future looks like, and build the products and features that get us there.

Product Managers collaborate with Canva’s founders to set the strategic direction, scope, and success metrics for product initiatives. We work across teams of designers, software engineers, marketers and analysts to ensure we're delivering an exceptional experience to all our users. We are responsible for implementing and collaborating on product strategy, road mapping, and prioritisation as our product grows.

It’s our responsibility to see products through their entire lifecycle—from concept through to validation, build, post-launch analytics and iterations.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive the development and launch of new editing features that delight our users!
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Own the product roadmap for our editing product, prioritizing features that will have the biggest impact on user experience.
  • Analyze user feedback and data to make informed decisions on product improvements and optimizations.
  • Champion a user-centric approach, always striving to make our Websites product more intuitive and user-friendly.

You're probably a match if you

  • End-to-end Product Management Experience. You have strong experience as a product manager, for a consumer-facing SaaS product, or related software or content product, taking ideas from fuzzy opportunities through to user-impacting launch.
  • Strong Product and Design sense. You are passionate not only about UX but also great visual design and communication.
  • Highly Collaborative. You're happiest when working closely with other Product Managers, Engineers, Designers and Product Marketers. You value feedback and brainstorming ideas.
  • Dream big; start small. You identify work that unlocks inordinate impact. You move ideas from the chaos of brainstorming and mock-ups to the clarity of execution and impact. You’re great at balancing long-term vision and strategy with regularly delivering impactful outcomes that bring us closer to that vision
  • Evidence-based. You’re great with data (both qual and quant) and love turning insights into action.
  • Effective Communication skills. You create clarity through your communication by making complex things simple. You can confidently present your ideas and tell a compelling story to influence and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve big wins.
