About the Group

The Information Technology Group’s vision is to improve the potential of every Employee through world-class technology and service. The group consists of Business Platform, Technology Experience and IT Platform. The Productivity Systems team, is a pivotal team within the Technology Experience sub-group.

About the Team

Productivity Systems is a team in the Information Technology (“IT”) Group, who strive to provide the best possible Canvanaut experience by supporting the evaluation, implementation, administration, and ongoing innovation of the technology stack that drives productivity across Canva.

The core systems owned by the team include Google Workspace, Atlassian (Jira Service Management, Jira Work Management, Jira Software, Jira Product Discovery Confluence etc.), Slack & Zoom. 

With enablement as our north star, we are passionate about finding ways to not only administer our systems, but to provide the knowledge and education that allows everyone to make the most of their tools.

Role Responsibilities:

  • You’ll be contributing to the delivery of critical projects with a focus on innovating and enhancing user experience across the Atlassian Cloud ecosystem.
  • You’ll be supporting Canvanauts as users of Atlassian products by providing world-class support, sharing your expertise, and providing scalable solutions to day-to-day problems.
  • You’ll be applying a platform mindset to how we implement, maintain and support Jira Service Management, Jira Software, Jira Work Management.
  • You’ll be identifying problem spaces, areas of improvement & enablement opportunities across your area of expertise, contributing to our mission in unlocking productivity around the world.
  • You’ll be contributing to the overall knowledge and skills within the team, through mentorship and education around Atlassian product offerings.
  • You’ll be working with other systems engineers on the ongoing optimisation, configuration and hygiene of Atlassian products across the organisation.

Required Experience: 

  • Strong and demonstrated understanding of Atlassian products including Jira Service Management, Jira Software, Jira Work Management, Jira Product Discovery & Confluence etc.
  • Demonstrable track record of platform thinking and application in project delivery involving Atlassian products.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management and incident management.
  • Strong knowledge in application management best practices and principles.
  • Passion and interest in working with sponsors and stakeholders across system enhancements, optimisation & end user experience.
  • 3-5 years supporting Atlassian products for enterprise customers (5000+ users).
  • Passion about all things Atlassian and end-user enablement.

Nice to have:


  • Knowledge and experience in automation and integration tools (IPaaS)
  • Experience in API and webhook usage
  • ITIL or Project Management certifications
