About the Group/Team

You’ll be working at the intersection of community and international growth. The Community team at Canva works across various markets through a talented team of best-in-class Community Managers. Our community is everything at Canva which is how we have generated so much brand love. In order to be successful in Spain, this role is critical in helping teachers and creatives bring Canva into schools and work.

 

About the Role/Specialty

As Canva’s Spain Community Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to introduce Canva to key audiences, like Educators, Creators, SMBs, and Enterprises in Spain. You will bring them on a journey to fall in love with our brand, our product and the values we stand for.

You’ll be a creative and conscientious community leader with experience engaging and inspiring passionate members of our communities. You thrive building and scaling community programs and the thought of working with a community of educators and creatives excites you! As someone who turns ambiguity into magic, you love big challenges and you’ll do everything you can to help the members of our communities.

 

What you’ll do (responsibilities)

  • Own the growth & development of our community programs and online groups in Spain
  • Foster a vibrant and positive community atmosphere in the groups you oversee
  • Being active daily in your groups responding promptly to community inquiries, comments, and concerns
  • Conceptualize and develop initiatives to support local marketing strategies and campaigns, including maintaining a local content calendar
  • Grow, nurture, and inspire a countrywide network of brand advocates
  • Partner with local schools & education organizations to share Canva's powerful suite of tools for educators
  • Host webinars and in-person workshops for teachers, education professionals, and creatives
  • Participate and drive the community participation in local conferences and events
  • Work alongside the global and regional community team to localize campaigns that create cultural connection and deliver against our business goals
  • Translate global assets into local language
  • Regularly collaborate with local cross-functional team to ensure we are on track with market goals
  • Creating periodic reports and keep track of KPIs to assess impact of community initiatives and opportunities for growth

Qualifications

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years experience in community management or a related field
  • Proven track record of growing and engaging a successful community
  • Experience with community management tools (Canva, Facebook Groups, Discord, Hubspot, Mailchimp, Monday.com, Google Suite, Looker)
  • A big bonus if you have experience working within the education sector
  • A creative thinker with hands-on experience creating content for brands with video editing skills
  • A fountain of knowledge when it comes to social platforms, video content, viral campaigns, emerging conversations, brands and social insights
  • An analytical mindset and the ability to develop an in-depth understanding of Canva’s audiences
  • Excellent written, visual and verbal communication skills, the ability to manage complex and competing priorities
  • Ability to manage and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to balance the big picture with short term needs and initiatives
  • A self-starter with tenacity for execution and delivery, with ability to adapt quickly to market trends and business priorities
  • Full proficiency in English and Castilian Spanish. Bonus if you also speak other local languages like Catalan, Basque or Galician.
