Company Description

Join the team redefining how the world experiences design.

Hello, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!

Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.

Where and how you can work

Our flagship office is in Sydney, Australia, but we've made our way from down under, to a hub San Francisco, which is now home to our US operations.

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

The treasury function faces increased complexity in managing banking relationships, systems, and tools to support our Global treasury operations. In this role, you will partner with the broader treasury team to elevate the vision and strategy of the Treasury function. You are excited by the prospect of driving the evolution of the treasury function unconstrained, looking to elevate treasury capabilities across people, processes, and systems.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Own global cash management activities including cash positioning, forecasting, and funding by working closely with the global finance team and ensuring adequate liquidity for operational needs
  • Manage bank account administration, including opening and closing bank accounts, maintaining bank signer records, and serving as a bank portal administrator
  • Assist in maintaining, monitoring, and improving a best-in-class set of operational policies to ensure a robust, internal controls environment
  • Lead treasury M&A integration efforts in partnership with corporate development and finance stakeholders
  • Help define investment strategies, keep investments in compliance with the Company’s investment policies, and evaluate investment performance
  • Formalize a treasury management system RFP, partnering with the broader Treasury team, Head of Treasury and IT.  Serve as main lead for TMS implementation, becoming a subject matter expert in our TMS, payment files, integrations, and bank connectivity
  • Partner closely with accounting and tax on global intercompany funding and transfer pricing settlement initiatives
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting, including internal and external audit requests
  • Lead process improvement, automation initiatives and collaborate on ad hoc treasury projects, partnering with stakeholders across finance, legal and IT

You're probably a match if

  • 8+ years work experience in international treasury operations, preferably for a multinational public corporation
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or business related field
  • Experience working with local and global banks
  • Experience and comfortable working in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
  • Strong critical thinking, organizational, communication and time management skills
  • Detail oriented and ability to work independently
  • Prior experience working with a treasury management system is preferred but not required
  • Strong desire to automate treasury processes leveraging technology
  • Experience in the software industry is a plus
  • MBA, CTP or CFA preferred
