Job Description

What you'd be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve. At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Owning and executing content strategy for Thailand and Vietnam, driving relevance, scale, and measurable business impact across MAU, retention, and revenue
  • Ensuring content quality and cultural resonance — making sure what we produce genuinely connects with local users and meets Canva's standards
  • Leading discovery and performance across search, editorial, and recommendations — optimising content for engagement, activation, and retention
  • Driving editorial and trends leadership across surfaces like Showcases, identifying and activating cultural moments in partnership with Marketing, Social, and PR
  • Acting as a strategic partner to the Country Managers — aligning priorities, unblocking execution, and translating regional direction into country-level plans
  • Building relationships with local creators and partners to activate a thriving content ecosystem across both markets

You're probably a match if

  • You have 3–5+ years in content strategy, regional business operations, or a similar role at a high-growth tech or media company
  • You have a genuine pulse on what resonates culturally in Thailand and/or Vietnam — you understand the trends, aesthetics, and user behaviours that matter locally
  • You're equally comfortable shaping strategy and rolling up your sleeves to execute — you don't wait for a playbook to exist before getting started
  • You can bring cross-functional teams along with you, building alignment across SEO, Localisation, Creators, Product, and Marketing without needing formal authority
  • You use data to drive decisions — you're comfortable assessing content performance and translating insights into strategy adjustments
  • You're fluent in Thai or Vietnamese (or both), with the cultural knowledge and language skills to work effectively across both markets

About the team

You'll be joining Canva's SEA Expansion team, working closely with the Regional Content Strategy Lead, who oversees content strategy across Southeast Asia. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of content, growth, and international expansion. You'll partner directly with the Country Manager and collaborate closely with SEO, Localisation, Creators, Product, and Marketing teams.
