Our flagship office is in Sydney, Australia, but we've made our way from down under, to a campus in Austin, Texas which is now home to our US operations. What you’d be doing in this role

Content Creation & Learning Design

  • Design and write learning content across courses, micro-lessons, guides, playbooks, and webinars.

  • Translate complex product concepts into clear, structured, and digestible learning sequences.

  • Create scenarios, examples, activities, and challenges that help learners apply skills.

  • Write natural, engaging scripts for video content and live training.

Research & Strategy

  • Conduct research, analyze workflows, and gather SME insights to shape learning strategies.

  • Apply adult learning principles and behavior-change methodologies across all content.

  • Own the full content lifecycle—from outlining and writing to reviews, iteration, and publication.

Collaboration

  • Partner with Product, PMM, Customer Success, and Support to ensure accuracy and alignment.

  • Collaborate closely with Technical Writers to create cohesive instructional and technical resources.

Publishing & Optimization

  • Use CMS/LMS tools to publish, organize, and update learning content.

  • Review engagement and performance data to continuously refine learning experiences.

  • Contribute to innovative formats like visual walkthroughs, guided workflows, and scenario-based microlearning.

You're probably a match if

  • 5+ years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or educational content creation.

  • Exceptional writing skills, with samples that showcase clear, human, narrative-driven instructional content.

  • Experience creating learning that drives behavior change—not just procedural instruction.

  • Strong ability to translate complex concepts into intuitive, structured learning.

  • Solid understanding of adult learning principles and modern learning design practices.

  • Experience with CMS/LMS platforms and comfort using AI tools for ideation and drafting.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, communicate clearly, and iterate quickly.

  • Comfort shaping ambiguous or unstructured inputs into polished outputs.

  • A track record of strong cross-functional collaboration and proactive communication.

  • Grit, ownership, curiosity, and a habit of asking thoughtful questions.

  • Content Output: High-quality learning content delivered consistently and on time.

  • Content Quality: Engagement, completion, learner satisfaction, CSAT impact, and feedback from customers & partners.

  • Business Impact: Product adoption, workflow usage, retention metrics, and reduction in support tickets in trained areas.

  • Collaboration & Craft: Clear documentation, cross-functional alignment, and strong contributions to team planning and processes.

About the role

We’re looking for a Customer Education Specialist who loves turning complexity into clarity and teaching through storytelling. You’ll design engaging, intuitive learning experiences that help customers adopt new workflows, deepen product understanding, and feel confident using Canva.

While you’ll contribute to defining the broader learning journey, the core of this role is hands-on content creation—crafting high-quality learning that drives real behavior change. You’ll lead the full lifecycle from research and insights, to design and content development, to publication and iteration. You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure learning is accurate, impactful, and aligned to customer needs.
