This role is based in Makati, and will work on a hybrid setup. We’re big on trust and ownership, so we aim to support ways of working that help you and your team do your best work (with the exact cadence aligned to local team needs).

What you’d be doing in this role

As a Trust & Safety Operations Specialist, you’ll help protect our community by delivering thoughtful, consistent, and empathetic operational support — combining strong customer service instincts with sound judgement and a safety-first mindset.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Review and investigate sensitive or urgent abuse reports, including fraud, spam, and account takeovers
  • Respond to regulated escalations, including government account requests and compliance workflows
  • Participate in incident response, post-incident retros, and help strengthen escalation playbooks
  • Support and execute red-teaming simulations to proactively test safety and moderation robustness
  • Perform data labeling and edge-case tagging to improve abuse detection models and automation
  • Track abuse trends and signal gaps, and provide structured feedback on tooling and detection logic
  • Partner with internal teams to improve processes, documentation, and policy enforcement consistency
  • Participate in an on-call rotation (which may include weekends/public holidays as needed)

We’re looking for candidates with Trust & Safety operations or platform abuse investigation experience (beyond content moderation alone).

We'd love it if you have:

  • Direct experience in Trust & Safety operations, investigations, or platform abuse response 
  • Hands-on experience using investigation or case tooling (e.g., Castle or similar platforms)
  • Interest or experience in AI safety work (data labeling, prompt testing, classifier feedback loops, red-teaming)
  • Strong judgment and resilience when working with emotionally challenging content
  • A collaborative style — you can work effectively across Policy, Product, Engineering, and Legal
  • Flexibility for on-call coverage as operational needs require (which may include weekends/public holidays as needed)

The Safety and Trust Operations (STOps) team is Canva’s safety engine — a multidisciplinary crew dedicated to safeguarding users and the public from digital harm. Think of us as a superhero squad protecting Canva from the villains of fraud, harassment, and platform abuse.

This role sits within our Escalations & Investigations stream and collaborates across Trust & Safety, Policy, Product, Engineering, Legal, and vendor partners.
