What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA — and this role sits right at the heart of that journey.

You’ll be responsible for defining and leading Canva’s end-to-end learning experience for users — across on-demand education, campaigns, and live learning moments like Canva Create and the Canva World Tour. This goes far beyond content strategy alone. It’s about shaping Canva into a world-leading education platform that fuels retention, confidence, and long-term impact.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Setting the long-term vision and strategy for Learning Experience, evolving Design School into a fully integrated, global education platform
  • Shifting Canva from feature-based education to outcome-driven learning across the full user lifecycle
  • Leading the creation and evolution of learning experiences across formats — courses, tutorials, series, campaigns, and live events
  • Ensuring learning is deeply connected to user needs, Jobs To Be Done, and moments of intent — not just content calendars
  • Defining how learning is activated across product surfaces, marketing channels, campaigns, and tentpole moments
  • Partnering closely with Product, Marketing, Platform, Creative, and Regional teams to bring learning to life at scale
  • Leading, developing, and inspiring a high-performing, multidisciplinary Learning Experience team

You’re probably a match if

You’re excited by the idea of shaping the future of learning at global scale and you:

  • Have led learning, education, or content-driven platforms at scale, ideally in tech, creative, or consumer product environments
  • Bring a strong point of view on how people learn — and how learning drives real outcomes, not just engagement
  • Are comfortable setting strategy and rolling up your sleeves to execute in fast-moving environments
  • Have experience building and scaling high-performing teams
  • Excel at cross-functional leadership and influencing senior stakeholders across Product, Marketing, and Platform
  • Think in systems and journeys, connecting content, UX, distribution, and data into cohesive experiences

Nice to have (but not required):

  • Background in learning experience design, instructional design, or education strategy
  • Experience scaling global education programs or customer learning platforms
  • Exposure to IRL learning moments, events, or community-driven education
  • Experience working across both B2C and B2B audiences

About the team

Design School sits within Canva’s Marketing Supergroup and plays a critical role in helping users unlock value, build confidence, and grow mastery with Canva. The team works at the intersection of education, content, product, and brand — shaping how millions of people learn, create, and succeed with Canva every day.

This is a leadership role responsible for defining the end-to-end learning experience for Canva users — across on-demand education, campaigns, and IRL moments like Canva Create and the Canva World Tour. This role sets the strategy for learning content (courses, lessons, videos, activities, guides) and live learning moments (including Canva Create and Canva World Tour), ensuring they are cohesive, intentional, and built to scale.You’ll set the vision for how learning shows up across the product and marketing ecosystem, lead a high-performing team, and partner deeply across Product, Marketing, and Platform to bring that vision to life.

This role goes beyond content strategy or learning design alone. It’s about shaping Canva into a world-leading education platform — one that delights users, fuels retention, and meets people with the right learning, in the right format, at exactly the right moment.
