What you’d be doing in this role
We’re looking for a seasoned experiential marketer to join Canva’s Brand Experience team as a Senior Experiential Marketing Manager.
As a senior marketing manager on the team, your remit will span strategy, project leadership, and flawless delivery of our biggest owned events. For Canva Create 2026, your focus will be on programming and digital storytelling, with broad exposure to all elements of the event — including creative development, experience design, sponsorship support, event logistics, and cross-functional operations.
While Canva Create and Owned Events at Canva will be your core responsibility, this role is designed to contribute to the evolution of experiential at Canva more broadly — helping to shape how we show up across formats, audiences, and moments around the world.
At Canva, this role is focused on:
- Acting as a project leader on Canva Create and other Owned Events, helping set the strategic direction, manage complexity, and drive alignment across teams from start to finish.
- Leading end-to-end programming for Canva Create 2026, overseeing 4+ stages and 7+ hands-on workshop environments with a team of ~10 Canvanauts and collaborators.
- Collaborating with Digital and Campaigns teams to ensure our experiential work is accurately and beautifully represented across our online presence — including landing pages, rewatch experiences, and more.
- Supporting the planning, production, and execution of live experiences across the year — from product launches and pop-ups to sponsor integrations and trade shows.
- Building and managing event budgets, production timelines, vendor relationships, and internal workflows, navigating projects at varying scales while delivering to a consistently high standard.
- Partnering with cross-functional teams across Brand, Product, Creative, Sponsorship, Ops, and Comms to align on goals, shape narrative strategy, and ensure seamless execution.
- Bringing a strong creative point of view to each experience, pushing boundaries and elevating the quality and innovation of our output.
- Managing large teams of internal and external contributors, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a shared sense of purpose.
- Ensuring the work is amplified across relevant channels — from social and PR to product and partnerships — so our experiences live beyond the moment.
You're probably a match if
- Have 7+ years of experience bringing brands to life through experiential or brand marketing — ideally (but not limited to) working on large-scale, high-profile, and global initiatives.
- Understand what makes audiences tick and know how to craft compelling journeys that inform, inspire, and delight.
- Are fluent in both digital and in-person experiences — and know how to bridge the two seamlessly to create cohesive, resonant storytelling.
- Have worked in or with agencies and are comfortable managing multiple collaborators, vendors, or stakeholders at once.
- Have a strong creative point of view and a deep understanding of how to translate brand objectives into engaging experiential concepts.
- Are equally comfortable mixing creativity with strategic thinking — with the ability to prioritize effectively, zoom in on details, and zoom out to see the big picture.
- Excel at engaging and influencing cross-functional stakeholders, and can confidently lead the process from idea to execution.
- You have high emotional intelligence, empathy. Sense of humor is a must!
- Thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy collaborating across teams, and are excited about working on a global stage (frequent travel is part of the fun!).
- Are excited about Canva’s mission and passionate about delivering meaningful, beautiful brand experiences at scale.
