While we support flexible, remote-friendly ways of working, for this role we’re focusing on London so we can best support our teams and keep collaboration flowing.

This role is a 6-month engagement, working full-time hours

About the Role

Canva is a world-leading design platform that empowers millions of people to design anything and publish anywhere. Our mission is to empower the world to design—and we're looking for an incredible Campaigns Creative Director to help make our European marketing campaigns famous globally.

Reporting to the Creative Director for Europe, this role combines strategic creative direction in our 4 European markets (UK, Italy, France and Spain), with world class craft.

As a Creative Director for Campaigns, you’ll be part of the team driving our advertising efforts across Europe. You’ll help shape campaigns that are brave, insight-led, rooted in local storytelling and crafted for impact across TV, digital, social, performance, and emerging platforms. You’ll work closely with in-house teams and agency partners to deliver creative that builds brand love, drives growth, and reflects our distinctive voice in-market.

We’re looking for an incredible creative with deep advertising and storytelling expertise, and a passion for delivering fame driven work. This role blends strategic vision with hands-on craft, and a collaborative spirit.

What you'll do

  • Lead Canva’s advertising and integrated campaign development across Europe.

  • Create bold, culturally relevant work across TV, digital, social, OOH, and performance channels.

  • Build an always-on creative capability for rapid testing, iteration, and optimisation.

  • Elevate storytelling and design to differentiate Canva while ensuring global alignment.

  • Use insights, trends, and data to drive creative effectiveness and innovation.

  • Partner with in-house teams and agencies to deliver high-quality, locally resonant campaigns.

  • Contribute towards a high-performing, inclusive creative culture where experimentation is encouraged.

  • Collaborate closely with marketing, growth, and product teams to deliver world-class work across markets.

What we're looking for

  • Demonstrable Lead Creative experience across both agency and in-house environments.
  • Proven ability to lead major advertising campaigns across Europe.

  • Strong understanding of consumer tech and/or direct-to-consumer brands.

  • Deep expertise in brand campaign creative across digital, social, and traditional channels.

  • A standout portfolio showcasing excellence in storytelling and advertising craft.

  • Strategic thinker who can connect creative ideas to clear business outcomes.

  • Confident communicator and presenter, able to influence senior stakeholders.

  • Thrives in fast-paced, global environments; culturally aware and passionate about creating resonant work across markets.
