About the Role/Specialty
As an MLE on the Video Effects stream, you’ll design, train, and deploy advanced ML models for real-time AV applications. This is a hybrid role combining product engineering and ML research — with a focus on pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with generative models, computer vision, and edge inference. You’ll work closely with researchers and engineers to turn ideas into scalable, high-performance features.

What you’ll do (responsibilities)

  • Design, train, and deploy ML models for real-time audio and video processing

  • Optimise models for performance on mobile and edge platforms (e.g., GPU, quantization)

  • Build MLOps pipelines and data orchestration for AV-focused workflows

  • Work with research teams to prototype and evaluate new ML techniques

  • Collaborate with global teams on research agenda and product roadmap

  • Connect research to product impact — translating ideas into user-facing features

  • Stay on top of multimedia ML trends and help drive innovation in creative tools

Qualifications

What we're looking for

We’re looking for an MLE with both technical depth and creative instinct — someone who thrives in fast-moving, cross-disciplinary environments. You’ll bring:

  • Strong experience in designing and deploying computer vision models in production

  • Expertise in deep learning for generative tasks (e.g., diffusion, GANs, video synthesis)

  • Practical experience optimising models for on-device or real-time use (quantization, pruning, GPU)

  • Proficiency in MLOps, model training workflows, and scalable inference systems

  • A balance of product and research mindset — able to move quickly from concept to impact

  • Curiosity and passion for building visually expressive, ML-powered features
