Alongside our global campuses, we also collaborate with talented contractors and freelancers from all over the world to help us achieve our crazy big goals. While we support flexible, remote-friendly ways of working, for this role we’re focusing on Sydney/Melbourne, so we can best support our teams and keep collaboration flowing.

This role is a 3-month engagement, working full-time hours. 

What you’d be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.

The mission of all Lifecycle Marketers is to maintain a high level of quality in executing campaigns using a highly configurable MarTech system: Braze. People in this role must have an understanding of underlying data structures that enable personalisation of messaging and compliance rules that govern the space. Each campaign is executed using branched logic that must be quality assurance tested by a peer before being deployed. Lifecycle Campaign Specialists will be builders and quality assurance testers and will have targets for efficiency and quality.

At the moment, this role is focused on: 

  • Managing and prioritising campaign requests in the ticket queue
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to assess and align on priorities.
  • Communicating clearly on production milestones and timelines.
  • Setting up ad-hoc and triggered campaign logic in Braze, following provided specifications.
  • Defining target audiences using rules and segmentation.
  • Populating content into templates, ensuring localization and personalization where required.
  • Building branching logic for customer journeys using Journey Builder.
  • Performing quality assurance testing on campaigns set up by other specialists, ensuring accurate targeting and high rendering quality.
  • Creating documentation for all campaign launches.
  • Tracking, measure, and communicate campaign impact to stakeholders.
  • Contributing to initiatives that streamline and improve campaign production processes.

You're probably a match if

  • You have experience with lifecycle marketing platforms (e.g. Braze) for campaign execution is ideal, though we’re open to upskilling the right person.
  • You have proven ability to perform thorough quality checks and maintain a high standard of accuracy.
  • You have the ability to design scalable solutions that deliver impact across complex, global contexts.
  • You have strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate clearly and confidently.

Lifecycle messages are often the predominant way that users find out about our educational content and community events. We continually optimise our communications to increase their value to users.
