Some of our tent pole events include Seltzerland (produced across 25 major cities in the U.S.), our newest concept, Plantopia, a plant-based lifestyle festival, and the Bacon and Beer Classic at NFL and MLB stadiums. The marketing team manages our brand, promotion and ticket sales for these events and more.

Job Description
Cannonball is seeking a Marketing Manager dedicated to growing their skills while also making a splash here, on our team. We are seeking a passionate and hardworking person with a positive attitude who is highly social, excited about learning, and ready to give it 110%!
Overall Strategy
- Work with the team to develop and implement strategic messaging campaigns that will be executed across the entire marketing spectrum, including partnerships and social assets
- Create and oversee a unified vision and plan across various divisions, including:
- Content
- Owned Assets (website, social channels and direct email)
- OOH (Street teams, stunts, print and radio placements and partnerships)
- Influencer marketing
- Partnerships
Ticket Sales
- Create hype that sells tickets and makes Cannonball’s events the must-do event in every market
- Amplify our brand. Market the unique feel of our festivals and how they tie into our communications, live events, products and future endeavors.
Ticketing
- Manage ticketing partner
- Ensure the ticketing pages are customized and the backend is being maintained
- Pull reports for ticket sales, revenue, insights
Partnerships
- Forge partnerships and collaborations with local and national media contacts
- Serve as the main point of contact for all media inquiries and opportunities
- Cross-promote with other events in the markets, and grassroots efforts with groups, leagues and venue contacts
- Market and message all philanthropic initiatives
Budget Management
- Develop strategies to optimize digital marketing spend
- Strategically manage media buying with an eye on growth and managing revenue fluctuations
Targeting and Analytics
- Develop ad copy; implement ad schedules to appeal to a specific demographic and target customer.
- Track and oversee analytics around all marketing and communications initiatives using tracking codes and analytics
Creative, Emails, Website + PR
- Create comprehensive communications plans for internal and external announcements, including key messaging, ticketing strategies, press releases and other materials
- Create graphic assets for partners and advertisements
- Oversee strategy and creative for all digital assets including websites
- Manage all email campaigns and communications with promotions, need-to-know information, event changes, etc.
- Oversee photo/video assets
- Manage external PR Agency with updates and details, approve press releases
- Manage external Social Ad Agency with updates, budget, analytics and creative
- Creative writing necessary for ads and website
- Brainstorm and develop event branding and inclusions
- Collaborate with production and partnership teams
Social Media
- Oversee, design, build and maintain social media presence, research current trends and apply current promotions. Keep up with current social trends to insure social strategy remains current.
Consumer Engagement
- Establish a long term relationship with guests through social media, PR and direct outreach so they think of us less as a brand, and more as a trusted partner, confidant and advisor
- Prioritize the guest with first-class response times, service and follow up through leading our customer success team, being present on forums and trending media and being active on every review, every comment, every thread
Team/Project Management
- Manage marketing coordinator and marketing interns who will be executing a number of these items that you're overseeing
- Oversee the marketing calendar and project manage deadlines based on new market launches and event dates
- Be a true partner to all leaders in the organization and work closely with the CEO
Qualifications
Background
- You have proven success in developing highly effective integrated strategies, driven by data intelligence and a natural understanding of our guests, resulting in ticket and other related revenues.
- 1+ year in DTC marketing or managing experiential ticketing and dynamic pricing
- 2+ years of previous marketing/event experience and have demonstrated success in that role
- Bachelor’s degree preferably related to marketing and/or project management. Relevant experience, skill and/or education may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Technical Skills
- Experience with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with social media platforms
- Experience with Mailchimp
- Experience with Squarespace
- Experience with Google Ads Manager
- Experience with Facebook Ads Manager
