Based AME Apprentice – Halifax EMS Operations

We currently have an opportunity for a permanent full-time Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Apprentice in Halifax.

Job Description

The Apprentice will be reporting to the Supervisory Base AME, and their duties include:

  • Assist the team in performing aircraft maintenance.
  • Assuring compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Organizing and maintaining the hangar and support equipment.
  • Performing related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

 

  • Must have graduated from a Transport Canada-Approved Basic training course and have gained at least 18-months credit towards their M-rated AME license.
  • Previous aircraft maintenance experience an asset. (Helicopter maintenance experience preferred).
  • Must be able to obtain Access to Controlled Goods authority and a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) for airport airside access.
  • Must have the legal right to work in Canada. (This position is not available for sponsorship).
  • Must be organized and a self-starter.
  • Must be customer focused and be a team player.
  • Must have good communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Halifax.
