Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Managers, Business Analysts and Team Leads with day-to-day activities including status reporting utilizing Azure DevOps Boards to ensure development items are delivered on time and adhere to high quality standards and meet stakeholder expectations
  • Facilitate the agile/scrum process, engaging Business Analysts, Product Owners, Project Managers, as well as Development, Integration and QA resources
  • Facilitate the grooming and backlog process, remove impediments and fostering communication throughout
  • Manage the project distribution and commercial development ticket processes
  • Apply basic knowledge of plan development and execution, scope planning and schedule development to help the Project Manager build and maintain the project plan accurately
  • Prepare work items for the Change Advisory Board to review and present them on a weekly basis
  • Identify hurdles with the team in executing the work items and escalate to the right stakeholders and PMs
  • Prepare a variety of correspondence, reports, presentations and charts as needed by the department
  • Coordinate logistics of meetings, seminars, workshops, special projects, and events
  • Any additional duties as assigned

 

Experience, Education and Designations:

  • Post-secondary degree
  • First-level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I)
    • Preferred: Second-level Scrum Master Certification (PSM II)
  • Experience in the Scrum Master role for at least two years for a software development team, applying Scrum principles, practices and theories.
  • Experience working within Agile, Waterfall and hybrid environments
  • 2+ years of administrative/coordinator experience
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) – nice to have
  • Experience with tools like Azure DevOps, JIRA or Rally

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
