Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Intelligence Analyst to contribute to our business intelligence efforts. You will support the development and optimization of business intelligence (BI) reports, assist in managing business intelligence projects from conception to implementation, and collaborate with clients to determine the best approach to meet and exceed their needs. In this role, you will also help ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of data models, processes, and systems while aligning business intelligence efforts with overall company goals. This role involves working with internal and external teams to gather data and visualization requirements, create efficient data models, write and optimize SQL queries, and design insightful dashboards and reports using Power BI and potentially other tools.

Qualifications

  • Support the full lifecycle of business intelligence processes, including data extraction, transformation, and reporting
  • Assist in the creation of insightful and visually appealing dashboards and reports using Power BI
  • Conduct business requirements analysis, working closely with internal stakeholders and external clients
  • Help track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for BI operations, supporting continuous improvement
  • Develop and optimize SQL, Power Query, and DAX queries, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and performance
  • Develop and optimize extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes
  • Gather requirements and translate them into data models and visualizations using Power BI
  • Assist in troubleshooting database and Power BI issues and provide timely resolutions
  • Stay updated with emerging trends and best practices in SQL and Power BI technologies

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or comparable learning and job experience
  • Self-starter (ability to take initiative, improve, and ask questions without being prompted)
  • Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills, with experience in business requirements analysis
  • Strong understanding of SQL and database concepts
  • Proficiency in Power BI Power BI, Power Query, and DAX for data visualization and reporting
  • Experience with GitHub or similar technologies to manage query and report pipelines
  • Leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to improving BI operations
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate within a team environment
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies

Additional Information

Currently, Campfire is working remotely with the exception of bi-weekly in office time.
