Job Description

Job Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Documentation Specialist, that is a meticulous, well-organized individual who can produce and maintain high-quality, processes and training documentation that contributes to the overall success of team members, systems, and tools. This individual will work collaboratively with subject matter experts and other internal resources to develop a variety of documents, including but not limited to job aides, reference material, process maps, and work instructions. This includes the following:

  • Provides documentation support to capture process and product changes, workflows, and comprehensive requirements
  • Support team during emergencies and tight deadlines

Technical Skills

  • Analyzes training and product gaps and needs and ensures appropriate training solutions and other key functional documentation is provided to enable efficient and effective execution of key business initiatives
  • Responsible for improving the overall quality and completeness of product documentation
  • Work with internal teams to develop an understanding of the organizational needs; research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content
  • Translate technical ideas and processes into easy-to-understand documentation using established templates
  • Control access to documents, remove documents that are obsolete, and maintain version integrity
  • Create training documentation, product specifications, release notes, and help documentation for end-users
  • Facilitates accuracy of documentation through extensive interaction and collaboration with the Customer, Product Manager, Operations, Development, Customer Support, and QA teams.
  • Superior writing skills with attention to detail regarding grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Strong working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint. Able to create process flows using Visio or similar programs
  • Good writing skills, documentation as a career
  • Skilled at multitasking and ability to adjust to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Experience with technology, software, and relevant domain knowledge
  • Relevant industry knowledge, ability to work independently, ability to communicate with people, project management, ability to meet deadlines

Work Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in testing enterprise-scale software products
  • At least 2 years of experience writing technical/functional product documentation
  • Experience training on software and process

 Educational Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field

Additional Information

Currently, Campfire is working remotely with the exception of 1 day a week in office time.
