Job Description

Job Duties and Responsibilities

The process of selecting, implementing and using the Campfire solution typically involves big change from the status quo for our customers. Success with Campfire requires a strong vision and commitment to changes in employee roles, business processes and tools. In short, business transformation plays a crucial role in Campfire sales, implementation and customer success.

As a VP of Business Transformation, you will be responsible for leading our customers through the journey of their business transformation from initial vision before purchase through changes needed to support successful usage of the Campfire solution once implemented. You must have the experience, earn the trust and demonstrate a collaborative approach to work with our customers and your colleagues in this capacity. The role involves engaging with customers from the C-suite level to IT and with primary users of Campfire in the functions of sales, finance, marketing, program management, purchasing, manufacturing and program management.

You must be able to effectively manage a portfolio of customer projects across stages of the customer lifecycle while also coaching and mentoring other Campfire team members. This is a strategic and consultative-type role which contributes to success of Campfire sales, implementations and product adoption and usage. Our ideal candidate has served in a consulting role related to software systems which impact sales and/or financial business processes within automotive suppliers.

  • Advise senior leadership on innovation and capability advances for our customers which best support their ability to succeed in business transformation
  • Ability to assess business transformation potential and obstacles, prioritize opportunities and guide resource allocation based on this assessment
  • Deep knowledge of automotive processes in multiple areas of:
    • Opportunity management
    • Sales forecasting
    • Quoting
    • Costing
    • Pricing
    • Change cost management
    • Program management
    • Capacity visibility
    • Market share
  • Demonstrated ability to translate concepts and terminology of software, software development, software industry and software futures
  • Demonstrated ability to translate concepts and terminology of IT, system footprints and system scalability
  • Demonstrated ability to translate technical capability into business opportunity
  • Maintains current and relevant knowledge and relationships with auto industry experts and associations
  • Customer facing experience, internal and external
  • Apply defined project methodologies to business transformation activities for predictable metrics, milestones, and outcomes
  • Ability to think strategically with supporting analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Support other ad hoc transformation activities/projects

​​​​​​​Work Experience

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in business/administration driving multiple automotive process listed above within the automotive industry
  • 3+ years of experience with software/IT systems selection, implementation and usage, from within the automotive industry and, preferably, also in the computer software industry working with customers
  • Served in a consultative role, demonstrating subject matter expertise to guide change
  • Experience in business transformations (changes in personnel, processes and technology) and strong project management skills

Educational Experience

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, Engineering and/or related discipline
