Job Description

As Director of Cost Modeling, you will serve as a technical and business lead for Campfire’s CPQ (cost/price/quote) software modules.  You will design, architect, understand and document complex automotive cost models, working with the Campfire team and customers to build and debug cost models within the Campfire software, in support of customer implementations and customer success. Your role and expertise also will involve you in sales activity and strategic initiatives around product development and partnerships.

Technical Skills

  • Ability to understand and architect customer cost models across automotive systems
  • Develop cost models in Microsoft Excel and/or other software packages
  • Ability to understand relationships and influence across cost, price and profit
  • Research, develop, and coordinate program planning actions and provide budget estimates and execution plans
  • Proactively assess our customer needs on an ongoing basis and drive improvements in their use of cost models
  • Lead teams to complete deliverables on time within budget 
  • Demonstrated ability to create and maintain long-lasting and healthy relationships with customers

Work Experience

  • 8+ years of direct experience with cost models, cost engineering, cost analysis and cost estimation activity in the automotive sector
  • Project management related positions
  • Experience in the computer software industry highly desirable

 Educational Experience

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, Engineering and/or related discipline
  • MBA preferred
