Due to growth and expansion, my client is looking for an ambitious, entrepreneurial and energetic UK Sales Manager/Director with an impeccable track record of having sold and managed teams who’ve sold, software based solutions to new name customers. The candidate will be seeking long-term financial and professional reward in the form of equity participation and eventual company directorship.

The candidate must have ample experience of successfully managing and selling IT software solutions, through adopting a consultative approach, ideally to medium sized organisations both within the public and private sectors. A lead from the front and "hands on manager" the ideal candidate has worked in and has detailed knowledge of all areas of the sales process, from telemarketing, account management, new business development through to sales management.

This role is absolutely perfect for someone who has spent, as a minimum, the initial five years or so of his/her career gaining experience of successfully selling software based solutions with Average Order values of circa £40k-£100k and is seeking a more strategic position in a growing SME. The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of technology in particular web based solutions and feels happy and eager to learn about the company’s extensive suite of software products and indeed demonstrating these to the prospective customers.

The role will particularly appeal to individuals that believe the best way to succeed is by motivating and inspiring others around them, especially their team. This means setting the right tone and becoming the role model for the team to emulate. The candidate should be ambitious and be prepared to put the effort and drive to making an already growing and successful company into a business with large enough turnover to make an Initial Public Offering (IPO) within five years’ time, which is the board’s stated objective.

Competitive salary, circa £60-70,000 basic + uncapped commissions (taking wage up to £(phone number removed) + share options.
