Job Description

The BD Specialist is responsible for managing new business opportunities to support the Business Development function. The individual must be highly motivated & driven and should be able to dive right into our work culture, understand our sales process & roadmap for the future and take control of the assigned sales pipeline across our target prospective clients.

The prime objective would be to deliver measurable quantifiable results. He/She is expected to take initiative and be creative in determining different methods for success and developing a working plan of action. Skilled in sales and business operations, this person will join a like-minded team to achieve our company’s vision.

The candidate is expected to provide evidence of their past experience including companies worked with, technologies sold, and clients acquired.

Primary Objectives

  1. Being responsible for a specific sales territory which includes reaching out, actively engaging, and following up with prospective clients to derive the next steps/action items to bring prospects to a closing phase. These prospects would be in line with our strategy - regulated industry customers that we are confident to reach out to, primarily BFSI
  2. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for identifying and enabling MSSPs, and value-added resellers within the specific sales territory.
  3. Provide visibility and report metrics for the BD team & management across different sales channels. Must meet on updates regularly with management to discuss strategy.
  4. Conducting demo calls and walkthroughs - this requires an understanding of our Digital Risk Protection (DRP) stack and at the minimum ability to demo Hackerview, Cyber Blindspot and ThreatCover.

Other Responsibilities

The candidate will also be assigned a part of the sales process as his/her ownership and would be responsible for the optimization of the said sales process part. These may include 

  1. Development and ongoing review of proposals, presentations, BD collateral & documentation to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships
  2. Assistance in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies that achieve strategic goals
  3. Support deal structure and pricing; negotiate prices for bids and proposals
  4. Engage in post-sales customer success to ensure that clients realize and achieve our value proposition

Qualifications

  • 2 - 3 years experience in IT & Security Sales (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management or IT

Skills

  • Ability to deliver presentations
  • Understanding the B2B sales process and negotiation
  • Excellent verbal, written & communication skills
  • Experience with CRM software (preferred)
