Job Description

The Licensed Fire Alarm Lead Technician will be responsible in a productive on-site labor and supervisory role. The Lead Technician will maintain all aspects of assigned areas and job duties, report all completion of work in a timely manner as required by project requirements. This position will lead other technicians to accomplish scheduled tasks and ultimately reports to the Project Manager within that department.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Be proficient at installing, maintaining and programming fire alarm systems, intercom systems and MATV systems. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics, submittals and specifications. Complete verification reports for customer and carry out system acceptance tests with AHJ’s and other interested parties. Provide As-Built drawings and documentation at the completion of projects. Lead, train and mentor less knowledgeable co-workers and team mates. Provide a positive attitude towards Firetron, its employees and customers.

Qualifications

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams and specifications used in installation activities.

• Experience in maintaining job site documentation, i.e.timesheets, As-Built drawings, etc.

• Have clear and concise communication skills

• Ability to work with Project Manager on reporting policies as required.

• Must be able and willing to follow verbal and written instructions.

• Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds.

• Must be able to perform work in unusual & sometimes difficult positions such as

climbing ladders, scaffolding & high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working in ducts, crawl

spaces, above ceilings, etc.

• Three years of experience in low voltage installation

• Hand tool, power tool and multi-meter usage experience

• Texas State Fire Alarm License

• Notifier certification or knowledge of Notifier parts is a definite plus

• Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support other staff and job requirements as dictated
