Job Description
Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
Determine long term network capacity requirements and short term variances through communication with the Infrastructure and management teams
Document network topologies, configurations, services and processes for IT and Business consumption
Design and deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including firewalls, routers, switches, Wi-Fi access points, VoIP devices, NAC devices, WAN optimizers and other hardware.
Research network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry
Configure network devices and services to provide a reliable base to run IT and Business devices and services
Facilitate the connectivity of network devices, telephony equipment, workstations, servers, SAN environments, other hardware and external services from partner companies
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum CCNA certification and partial CCNP
Proven success with Cisco centric LAN, WAN, WLAN design and implementation.
Proven experience with network capacity planning, security principles, and general network management best practices.
Years of Relevant Work Experience 5 years of relevant IT experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies
Strong understanding of dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
Strong understanding of Quality of Service/Class of Service from the LAN through the WAN
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products as required
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Flexible to work out of hours and extended hours on occasion
Education Required: University degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
