Our established client is looking for a Data Scientist to join their Data/Analytics team. Please come with passion working on data parsing, analyzing, investigating, interpreting, modeling, and extracting knowledge from large volumes of data. You enjoy processing data to help drive better business decisions in a fast-paced environment. Preference will be given to previous experience with online marketing campaigns or a strong motivation to gain knowledge in the field.

Responsibilities of the Data Scientist:

Extract data from databases, write scripts to parse, clean, combine, and process them

Work with an extensive online marketing SQL database and prepare reports to drive actionable optimization decisions

Develop a tailored global bidding strategy for online marketing campaigns

Collaborate with external providers (e.g. Google, Kenshoo) and incorporate their solutions for bidding and reporting

Prepare graphs or visualizations of processed data, identify trends, anomalies

Investigate data problems, identify patterns

Draw inferences and conclusions, communicate results through reports, charts, or tables

Requirement of the Data Scientist:

Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Mathematics degree. Masters or PhD a plus

SQL and database experience is a must, with Hive/Hadoop preferred

Solid programming skills with at least one high-level language such as Python, Java, Perl, or C/C++

Good knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and statistics

Basic knowledge of Unix shell scripting

Knowledge of Adwords (or other online marketing tools) a plus

Knowledge of Machine Learning would be a plus
