Our client located in the Chicago Loop is looking for a Jr level Linux Systems Engineer to join their infrastructure team in this direct hire position. This company has doubled in size over the last 6 months and offers significant career growth.  

Responsibilities:

•Remote administration and deployments

•Maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated infrastructure configuration

•Desktop support, PBX and network management

•Design and uphold documentation and procedures

•Work closely with client IT personnel

•Manage vendors

Requirements:

•2+ years of Linux and any of the LAMP stack technologies such as Apache, Java / JVM, MySQL, and PHP, Ruby, Perl (or Python)

•Desktop support, client services, or other user interaction

•Web-based startup experience

•Automated configuration deployment and systems scripting

•Understanding of HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS / BIND, LDAP, SMTP

•VMWare, KVM, Xen or AWS

•DevOps and Continuous Delivery ability

•Team oriented, collaborative, excellent problem solving, verbal & written communication skills
