Job Description

As part of Airbus Defence and Space (AIR Sat), you will have the following responsibilities:

 

  • Implement the G2G satellite navigation payload data dissemination simulator;
  • Flow-down of satellite level data dissemination requirements on:
    • C-/S-Band and inter-satellite link message data structure
    • On-board processing of satellite and navigation message data (e.g. authentication, encoding, encryption)
    • Downlink navigation message data broadcast timeline and flexibility to lower-level specifications for sub-systems and units;
  • Support subsystem teams for correct understanding and implementation of the Data Dissemination requirements;
  • Review and contribute to Data Dissemination design and implementation aspects and trade-offs and support to payload and sub-systems milestone reviews;
  • Review and contribute to Data Dissemination verification & validation activities such as:
    • Validation of the navigation payload data dissemination simulator
    • Generation of navigation data test vectors for satellite, payload and units level tests
    • Definition of navigation payload and satellite levels test specifications
    • Analysis of requirements coverage and derivation of verification close-outs
    • Contribution to test reports
  • Contribute to development of SOCs / RVM / VCD for Data Dissemination related
  • customer requirements;
  • Contribution to Satellite operation procedures on message aspects;
  • Contribution to non-conformance analysis, resolution and support to Non-conformance Review Board (NRB) meetings;
  • Presentation and discussion of results in front of national and international customers

 

Qualifications

You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:

  • Master’s degree in Physics, Engineering or similar field is required;
  • Experience on systems engineering processes and review gates, and in particular:
    • Requirements compliance assessment, flow-down to lower level specification
    • Design description and justification
    • Definition of RVM and VCD
    • Description of test plan and test specifications
  • Deep understanding of the Galileo navigation data layer, including navigation services, page types, dissemination layouts, encoding schemes;
  • Good knowledge of satellite navigation systems, knowledge of Galileo 2nd Generation is considered an asset;
  • Understanding of OSNMA, authentication schemes, encryption and key management is considered an asset;
  • Experience working with or basic knowledge of DOORS and Matlab;
  • Knowledge in Software Development would be a plus;
  • Good communication skills and team working attitude;
  • Capability to work in a European/international team and with European/international customers;
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language (French or German) is an advantage.
