CS Group Canada is looking for a Certification Office expert. Successful candidates will be responsible for developing Software processes and will ensure that the Embedded Software development and verification organization follows these processes. The candidate will also be responsible for interfacing with certification authorities such as the FAA or TCCA or their representatives.  

As a Certification Office expert your tasks will be (but not limited to): 

• Technical Software Thread Audits (full V-cycle, from system requirements down to the code, and back up the V, to Software Integrated Tests) 

• Support DO178 SOI audits (SOI1 to SOI4) with certification authorities 

• Write technical documents from PSAC to SAS, including software and design requirement documents and Software verification test cases & procedures, and results 

• Participate in process and plans and standards creation/update: improvement and optimization 

• Training / Mentoring of more junior software team leads 

Successful candidates will have: 

• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering 

• Minimum of 7 years experience in development/verification of Embedded Software  

• Minimum 2 years experience in software certification process, compliance, tools and methodologies  

• Strong knowledge of DO178B/C, DO331, DO330 

• Exposure to ARP4754/ARP4761. 

• Software Knowledge: SCADE, Matlab / Simulink, C, C++, Microsoft Office, DOORS, SVN; 

• Good communication / interpersonal skills,  

• Curiosity, autonomy, pro-activity, adaptability, and ability to find solutions and compromises.
