Job Description

Primarily responsible for the creation of customer pricing and strategic client initiatives for Signant Health's products and services. 

Key Accountabilities/Decision Making & Influence

  1. Creates the project budget for customer bids for all Signant Health services/products.
  2. Works with various internal departments (i.e. sales, operations, scientific) as needed to scope the project and finalize pricing.
  3. Assists with the creation and completion of client specific rate cards and pricing tools.
  4. Participates in client calls when negotiating pricing on an as needed basis.
  5. Maintain client specific pricing templates.
  6. Updates internal systems with pertinent budget and opportunity information on an ongoing basis.
  7. Maintain strong relationships with internal clients in order to promote inter departmental communication.
  8. Support client specific pricing initiatives.
  9. Conduct pricing analysis for strategic pricing initiatives.
  10. Mentor, train and provide ongoing support to other members of the Pricing team as well as other members of the Business Development Operations team.
  11. Conduct QC and review of client budgets on an as needed basis.
  12. Other responsibilities and projects assigned as required.
  13. Apply critical thinking skills as it relates to day to day responsibilities to identify areas for improvement in order to provide logical and informed recommendations to the business.
  14. Collaborate with internal and external resources to ensure consistency of pricing methodologies, interpretation and approach.
  15. Manage the pricing escalation process within the defined delegation of authority guidelines.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in business is required or equivalent work related experience.
  2. Minimum of five (5) years working autonomously in pricing/cost budget development.
  3. Intermediate Excel skills. Minimum of 3 years working in Excel.
  4. Must have excellent, time management, communication, decision making, analytical skills, and organizational skills.
  5. Demonstrates the ability to work cross functionally.
  6. Team oriented person with a “can do” attitude.
  7. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  8. Life Sciences industry experience required.
