Job Description
About the Role
This Superintendent leads the daily field operations of large multi-family residential projects — keeping the jobsite safe, coordinated, on schedule, and fully aligned with quality standards. You’ll be the on-site command center: directing subs, managing inspections, tracking progress, and making real-time field decisions to keep the project moving.
What You’ll Do
Preconstruction
Assist in schedule development, site logistics, and phasing
Support constructability reviews
Help develop bid packages and scopes of work
Assist with subcontractor bidding, awarding, and procurement
Construction Execution
Direct all day-to-day field activities
Lead subcontractor coordination and jobsite operations
Manage field cost control and productivity
Implement project schedule and sequencing
Enforce quality standards and lead punch-out efforts
Troubleshoot field issues proactively
Produce daily reports and gather subcontractor reports
Run Foreman meetings; document minutes
Maintain as-builts, field documents, and site records
Ensure jobsite security, safety, and full compliance
Manage all inspections, permits, and code requirements
Support OAC meetings and partner closely with the Project Manager
Leadership & Development
Mentor Assistant Supers and Field Engineers
Reinforce company procedures and best practices
Help mitigate project risks and maintain project discipline
Business Development (Light)
Participate in RFQ/RFP efforts
Join project interviews as needed
Qualifications
What You Bring
10+ years of experience in large multi-family, apartments, podium, or high-rise construction
Strong field leadership and subcontractor management
Thorough understanding of plans, specs, and building codes
Expertise in scheduling, sequencing, and field coordination
Ability to resolve issues quickly and keep crews moving
OSHA 10 required; CPR/First Aid preferred
Strong communication, documentation, and jobsite organization skills
