You’ll be the eyes, ears, and voice of safe manufacturing practices on the floor — especially during the busy second shift.
What You’ll Do
Support the Safety Manager in updating and implementing safety programs aligned with federal, state, and local regulations.
Review day-to-day plant operations and recommend improvements to reduce risk and eliminate hazards.
Lead incident reporting and investigations, including root-cause analysis and corrective action tracking.
Deliver monthly safety training to all associates; adjust content as needed to increase effectiveness.
Conduct specialized training (OSHA topics, equipment safety, etc.) and assess training outcomes.
Perform regular safety audits, inspections, and documentation to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
Promote a strong, consistent safety culture across all teams on shift.
Qualifications
What You Bring
2+ years in an industrial or manufacturing environment (assembly, machine shop, or similar).
Supervisory experience in a high-volume, fast-paced facility.
Solid understanding of manufacturing safety practices, hazard identification, and corrective action processes.
Familiarity with OSHA standards; OSHA 10 or 30 preferred.
Bonus points for CPE, CSP, or CIH certification.
Strong communication skills and the ability to lead training, influence teams, and drive accountability.
