- Work independently or under the guidance of a Project Manager or Group Lead
- Serve as Engineer of Record for smaller projects when acting as Lead Plumbing Engineer
- Manage multiple priorities, establish work plans, and provide direction to junior engineers and designers as needed
- Develop engineering narratives, reports, construction drawings, and specifications with minimal oversight
- Expand technical expertise in specialty plumbing systems, including reclaim/gray water, process and biological waste, and service utilities (e.g., natural gas, compressed air, CO₂, N₂, O₂)
- Support proposal development activities, including scope definition, effort estimation, and schedule review under mentorship
- Develop fire protection performance drawings and specifications
- Identify non-compliant conditions during site assessments and field surveys
- Support construction phase services, including submittal reviews, RFIs, punch lists, and progress reporting
- Lead discipline quality efforts such as squad checks and peer reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Contribute to internal training and knowledge sharing within the plumbing discipline
- Mentor and support the development of early-career engineers and designers
- Support system planning and programming efforts in collaboration with senior technical leadership
