Job Description

This Control System Developer position will be responsible for programming, implementation, testing, and documentation of potentially complex, technically oriented, and sensitive computerized automated control systems. This position will be involved as a team member for projects working under the direction of a Project Manager and potentially a Lead or Senior Control Systems Developer.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in building and recognizing the full potential of this new and expanding business. This position can be located at any US CRB office location. Ideally looking for candidates to be based out of our Kansas City, Omaha or St. Louis offices. 

  • Maintains confidentiality on potentially sensitive customer information.
  • Configuration, installation and troubleshooting of PC/PLC hardware and software, and customer networks.
  • Assist with installing and starting up a control system on a customer’s site.
  • Assist with in-house and in-plant customer operator training for the control system.
  • Must be available for occasional after-hours client support.
  • Travel will be required to install control systems, and to provide plant start-up services at Customer sites.   
    • The amount of travel will vary according to business requirements. Up to 35% may be expected.
    • While on a jobsite, there is potential for overnight shifts.
  • Must have the ability to achieve results through others in a team atmosphere and work cooperatively with others.
  • Work in a team environment with engineers and designers from CRB, partners, and clients
  • Expectation is to be in the office 3 out of 5 days unless otherwise approved

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Computer Studies; Instrumentation and Controls; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple concurrent projects
  • Passionate about problem solving and developing solutions
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office software suite required
  • Excellent organizational skills and mechanical inclination.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
