Job Description

As a Summer Intern at CRB, you'll have the unique opportunity to work within an integrated Architecture, Engineering, and Construction firm capable of executing work. Collaborate with subject matter experts spanning across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, process, and automation engineering to help us deliver innovative & impactful solutions to the Life Sciences and Food & Bev industry in an era where speed, quality, and creativity have never been more critical. 

CRB knows that powerful VDC platforms and processes enable a successful transition from design and construction. Because of this, our VDC teams are an integral part of both design and construction phases and influence the project directly. 

Successful interns will be considered for full time hire at the completion of internship.  

How will I contribute?

You will work under the direction of an assigned mentor to learn CRB systems in place to efficiently develop and implement project deliverables. You will collaborate with VDC professionals, engineers, and architects to coordinate designs and achieve our clients desired outcomes. Project sizes will vary, and will consist primarily of pharmaceutical, biotech, food and beverage, or industrial process projects including both existing building renovations/retrofits and new construction.

    Responsibilities 

    • Developing project documents (e.g., calculations, reports, construction drawings and specifications, etc.) for clients in coordination with regulatory bodies and industry standards. 
    • Assisting with development of conceptual designs and coordinating with the design team under direction of the project team lead.
    • Coordinating with other disciplines and other internal and external team members (e.g., vendors, clients, and contractors).

    Qualifications

    • Pursuit of Drafting Associates degree or completion of applicable certificates
    • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit preferred 
    • Experience with 3D collaboration tools (Navisworks, BIM360 Suite, Assemble), preferred 
    • Experience with Microsoft Office
